I am officially done with trying to defend him now.

He had a bad game like the majority of the rest but he is tipping the scales.

Slow football, easy sideways passing, no tackles won, daft fouls, zero threat in every department and that two footed "tackle" just pushed me over the edge.

The lad has no brain to play in a team that has ambitions to go further.

And before anyone uses the scapegoat argument, I think the same about Coleman also. Those two together in our team, I'd love to see what our win-ratio is because it's the same narrative with them.

He is playing above his level as are many but I can't defend him anymore.

Thought he was olay in the first half - did his job in collecting from the CBs, but the movement ahead of him was dreadful.

Second half he was abysmal, though. Completely lost his head when he skewed a pass to Godfrey - which should have gone to Richarlison as he was in acres of space.

Lost possession 15 times. Third-highest in our side, after Bernard (19) and Rich (18). Made four tackles - team-high - but also conceded three fouls.

I thought he was lucky to stay on the pitch tonight. He could’ve easily had two yellows.

Should've been taken off when Gomes came on.

Was happy to see Sigurdsson go off, and Bernard, but if we're going to win the game then one of them staying on would have been better than Davies.

Stand by that the main issue tonight from a tactical perspective however was our poor shape. Players didn't perform and the manager just switched like-for-like. Not good enough from any of them.

Definitely not good enough and something that needs seriously looking at.

Doesn’t help when you can’t rely on your best players, like Richarlison, to put in a shift.

If teams come to Goodison hoping for a draw, it’s the least they’ll get. We find it so hard to break down organised teams who are quite happy to sit back.

Thing is I think when we're fully firing, as we were at the start of the season, we can confidently say we would beat teams like West Ham.

However, we've got used to playing a certain way, but it has its limitations. We saw them tonight, and then unfortunately our difference makers are either still injured, just returning from nearly a month out, or not performing.

Still think Carlo had other options, and one of them should probably have involved taking Davies off, as he was a liability in the 2nd half.
