How can put in a performance like that and then be utterly gash for the next 5 games he starts? So strange. Well done anyway played very very well today maybe finally a turning point for him.

Lovely ball for that 1st goal. He’s got that in his locker, but he doesn’t show it often enough.

I've been (rightly) slaughtered in here in the past for saying the lad has ability which he does. He has lots of unique skills, and is a decent progressive passer. The issue was his mental approach to the game. When he tried to do it, how he tried to do it, how often he tried to do it etc. Risk v reward essentially.

I actually think you can see the work Ancelotti is doing with him. He has really settled him down. Hes worked on him positionally a lot, but also his decision making. Hes not forcing forward passes as much now, which means theres more of an element of surprise when he does.

He was very good tonight.

I never thought a week ago I'd be saying that he and Gomes were standout performers against Man United.

His passing was really good. I didn't know he had that range in him.

I hope this wasn't a one off performance.

*Extra points for twice leaving one on Fernandez without a booking. ;)

I don’t need to accept anything. I haven’t criticised Davies once, I just thought your post completely contradicted itself and so asked what you were trying to say. I’m no clearer now, other than you just seem to be criticising other people for saying what you think.
OK fair point, on reflection the post wasn't aimed at you, rather the tedious consistent onslaughts he gets from posters within the forum, to explain myself it's like me driving a Micra down the fast lane of the M6 and screaming at it to go faster as there's an rs4 up my arse - it's my fault I'm driving the micra, not the Micra's fault I'm it's owner and aren't happy with it, ultimately if I had a better car to drive then I defo wouldn't be in the micra

too far off Bruno for that goal but 1) Bruno is THE form player in the league imo and even he fails to arc that one just over the keeper and under the bar and inside the post most of the time; 2) plenty of other times where he put a shoulder into Bruno and knocked him over. Granted they scored 3 but they just put 9 past a decent side and probably should have had 5 or 6 at least against us in the cup tie, so he and Doucoure earned our point with the shift they put in against a world class midfield.
