That is not right, certainly he has improved but he was never as bad as some .

He was imo always good but is now excellent

However, he is still young and will have more dips on the way, but he will not be cut any slack when that happens.

Thats nonsense. His form and fitness went through the floor. He was blowing out of his arse last season in games after an hour. And have you forgot in almost every game he was passing to the opposition more than his team mates.
He's upped his game lately. Thats it.

Can this lad change my mind about him. I think he is a squad player. Happy to have him in the squad. But can he go one better? A very good performance again tonight. Solid. Aggressive. Seems physically stronger recently.

He's found his position and he should stay there. When Allan is fit play him in front of Tom to do the pressing and leave Tom to mop everything up.

Tonight has been the first game in 5 or so weeks where afterwards I haven't thought, wow Tom Davies was superb tonight. I think that is because just lately I've got use to his performance. So even though he was superb tonight I didn't notice it as much because I've come to realise it's a performance he's capable off on a regular basis. He's becoming a proper midfield General.
I haven't seen tonight's game but by all accounts he's continued his form of the last 6/7 games. Think he was MOM in the previous 4 which must be a first on GOT.

Dare I say it, and I hate comparing young players to past greats, but he's starting to remind me of Peter Reid, a player himself not graced with great pace but boy was he effective for us.

Long may it continue.

Starting to think I actually don’t know much about football

Written both him and DCL off to the point I could not see how they could become even serviceable PL players in their positions

Superb tonight. Only thing that kept us steady stimes

Cant argue with the davies one. Were some games like when he cost us the game at leicester his form was so poor you saw a championship player.
Now, theres that little potential thing again when he first broke though.
But still a way to go imo if hes long term good enough. But its nice to see mind.

Doucoure and Gomes were poor first half and it’s a great compliment to Tom that HE held the midfield together and was at the heart of it . In previous seasons he’d have had a wild challenge after 10 mins and been booked. Showing a great deal of maturity these days.

We talk about the improvement to the likes of Keane, DCL, Holgate since Carlo came in and tbf Davies looked like he was getting left mikes behind.........

BUT

Theres no way that Tom is not taking every little ounce of info, training, tactics, confidence into his game and suddenly looking like an "Everton " player.

Tell me anyone on here ( myself included) who would have thought that he'd look more at place than the likes of Delph, Gomes in midfiekd and where we'd all be fuming he git taken off the teo previous games.

Something has twigged, not sure what, is it knowing he was under severe pressure to save his Everton career or just the staff really working on him.

89th minute he done a boss bit of play to take the piss and kept the ball woth Siggy. He hasn't gone hiding m, he's looking for the ball, he's looking for the forward pass.

I'm made up for him, I want him to keep it going, I want him to make a place his own where we are fuming when he's missing.
