Imagine being a central midfielder and being bettered in a 3 man midfield by an awful attacking midfielder and a centre half filling in. Truly a useless player, I actually pity James having to play alongside him you can even see his reluctance to give him the ball because he knows it kills any form of attacking play and he'll likely give it away.

Y'know those players that leave their meal ticket clubs and are rarely heard from again after sinking down through football, that'll be Tom Davies. He's gonna be 28 playing his "prime" at a mid table Championship side or in somewhere mad like Cyprus or Romania

I said last week when some thought he played well v palace. That I watched bissouma the night before v Man Utd and said he’s on another level.

90% of the time Tom is square on, receiving the ball or trying to stops player. That’s why he constantly turns into trouble or players go past him Witt ease.

Add into the fact he can’t run and spends half the game on his backside. And put us in trouble 3 or 4 times form loosing the ball.

We
Need a new midfielder, but with Gbamin and Allan whio can fill in there. I didn’t think we wouid go for a defensive midfielder. But bissouma( I doubt we could get him) Witt Allan & Doucoure. As a 3. A quality RB and at least one new attacker. Would transform this team.


Obviously hoping we have a bit more
Luck Witt injuries next season.

The lad played well tonight considering he had a centre back (Holgate) and a battery near dead ,I point more then ET (sigs) as midfield partners ,As well as covering James on the right defensively most off the game , Ok he wasn't brilliant but the lad put a shift in tonight .

I think my expectations are so extremely low for him when he does a rudimentary action for a central midfielder like make an interception or complete a simple pass it feels like he accomplished a major feat and I feel compelled to extend praise his way.
