There's your problem. Nobody will be interested in Delph,Gomes on the money they are on,even overlooking the fact on their best day they are crap, plus normally on the treatment table. Davies has a good injury record and according to Davide Ancelotti Is a quick learner with the potential to improve.
Can't agree about Gomes, on his best day he's a really really good player but those days are few and far between unfortunately.

I guess so, but I’d rather see Iwobi, Bernard gone before him.

Someone will have some difficult decisions to make.
Of course in an ideal world we get rid of our crap first. But you have to take every transfer in isolation. And IMO it’s an easy sell if someone offers 15mil for Davies.

If we are stuck with iwobi for another season so be it. But that’s not a reason for keeping Davies

Except his best days were two seasons ago. Free to Spain or Portugal is the best we can hope for, Delph is a millstone.
Yeah it's a shame he can't find some consistency as he has genuine ability, can't shake his demons for whatever reason, think he said himself he's very hard on himself, he needs to relax and enjoy the game more, you can see on his face the concentration and frustration. Delph pffft hope he sods off.

Tom though, no rush to rid yet.

I don't mind Tom staying. We need to find the dude who scored that goal, strange he's never remotely looked like doing that again. Still I think this season he could finally become a player worth keeping. Homegrown as well so he's a good squad member.
He’s a good squad player if we don’t get injuries. If we do and he needs to play 30 games then he’s not a good squad player.

We need to build a squad,
So 5/6 injuries don’t effect us much. Anyone offering decent money for Davies it’s a easy decision, well it should be.

Yeah Brands has a job on his hands this season. I still think Davies can become a good solid premier league player. If he doesn't kick on next season or the one after then I'd rethink that but at his age, not writing him off just yet.

More than happy to sell him............as long as the likes of Delph and Gomes are sold before him.

He's miles more useful than them two so I'd be fuming if they're kept as back up and Davies is sold before them.
Hi is that Southampton.

We’re trying to sell delph & Gomes first, give us a call back on deadline day. And if you’ve bought midfielder already. Then no worries we will keep him for another season.

I'd keep Davies as ideally the 7th midfielder. Not someone you rely on but someone who can come in and do a job maybe 10-12 appearances a season without rocking the boat. He will never be good enough to be a regular starter but Man City and Chelsea apart who has 2 players in every position that are top quality.

Sorry I had to laugh. If doesn’t kick on next season or the one after lol. By that time he will be approaching 25. Been around the first
Team 8 years. Will most likely by then have played 200 Games. And still not be a regular.

He’s had enough chances and plenty of games. I just don’t see what you do.

We will sign a midfielder this summer. And Davies will be 4th choice at best, maybe 5th if Gbamin gets fit. I think it time to move him on a give another midfielder from the academy his spot. And use his transfer fee. To help build a better team.

Do you think Davies wouid have lasted this long at Arsenal or Spurs or even Liverpool( I know they’re in a different league at the minute to us) but surely that where we want to go.
