The way I'd see it is that Davies is the natural replacement for Allan within the squad, and Gbamin possibly closer to the physical attributes of Doucoure....balance of the midfield depth is all wrong though with Doucoure being the only real option in there who offers anything going forward.

Up to now the midfield slots were taken by Allan and Doucoure so we haven't had a chance to see what the managers thinking is on the options available to him.... we will now find that out.

I think we may see midfield change radically.... depending on who is fit.

I could see a midfield three of Allan, Davies and Gomes... if fit.

Gbamin seems well off the pace to me and Delph is never fit.

Thankfully I think he’s already worked it out considering how delph and Gomes seem to be ahead of him when they’re fit and we supposedly tried to sell him in the summer
