Hit a cracking shot with his left today. I did worry he'd shoot like Osman/Pienaar i.e. a young girl as he hasn't really had a crack from range but he drove it nicely.

Just to play Devil's Advocate here, but Cleverley had a very decent game at RB awhile back...

Thought he was head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch, and that includes the excellent Schneiderlin and Gueye.

Don't want to go nuts hyping the lad up and putting all our hopes on him (we've seen how that went last time...), but I enjoy watching him play as much as he seems to enjoy playing.

Nope (imo)! He was good though, and did surprisingly well at RB.

No doubt he's got the potential to become a very good player even a great player, but I thought he struggled at rb last night caught out defensively a couple of times but going forward done well and showed why we need a rb to play rb and not a converted cb playing there Thought it was telling how all the team came to his aid when things got a bit heated in the second half wanting to protect him.
