Next season most likely. He won't be a surprise package any more and it'll be much harder for him. He'll have to find ways to work around his lack of pace and physical presence and be more adventurous with his passing

hes 18, in all likelihood still growing so doubt that will be an issue going forward.

He's a bit of an anomaly in the modern game.

You're supposed to be incapable of going either backwards or forwards these days.

The substitutions were interesting . RK wanted Valencia on and more attacking at the start of the second half yet chose to leave Davies on and move him to RB instead of hooking him. If Holgate needed replacing then Pennington was the obvious choice for RB but that would have meant two subs used . So Koeman obviously had faith that he could hold his own at right back despite his lack of experience there , and provide a better attacking option . It still comes down to the fact that he's only 18 and improving all the time. What the likes of Davies, Gueye, and Scneiderlin offer is consistent and stable performances in our midfield that allows RK to go out searching for that someone with a special bit of magic for regularly scoring goals that regularly win matches.

He's got a small frame, and he lacks pace and power, I don't think they're down to age TBH. Don't get me wrong. I think he'll turn out to be a useful squad player for us, but those who are claiming him to be the 2nd coming of jesus right now I think will be disappointed and calling for him to be sold once he hits his 20s.

I'm sure he'll have a bit of growing to do yet but even if he doesn't, why would it matter? Midfielders aren't really required to be massive are they?

Already people looking at his supposed fault, no pace no power. What about that goal against city where those 2 qualities lacking there? Also I know he's not in their league but Xavi and Iniesta how fast and powerful where they again?
How about we look at David Silva at City! No pace, no power but a top quality title winning midfielder!
