I'm going to go on record and say at least 3 of this current batch of players between the age of 16-23 will make it as regular senior players for Everton

Not sure which ones exactly, but I think Dowell, Davies, Browning, Galloway, Pennington, Kenny and Walsh all have a decent chance

The Class of 92 produced 6. That might be beyond us

Mikey i was reading that thinking to myself, please dont mention McAleny, please dont mention McAleny.

I think out of those listed, Pennington will probably not make it with us. Think he will drop down divisions next season and work back up. Think he is ready for first team footy, just dont think we are ready to give it to him.

I'd start him alongside Williams against Spurs if Jags is still hurt and we do end up selling Stones and haven't got a replacement in yet

Wouldn't bother me in the slightest

The composure he has for a man his age is really impressive

Potentially mate...

I just don't think we will give him the time he needs - not sure if he will want to continue going out on loan season after season. He is at the level he needs to be starting to progress or at least 3rd choice.

kieren dowell scored some absolute crackers last season also, unfortunately he doesnt get the same plaudits as he is compared with ross who is clearly a class above, but watch the kid, i think he has a bit more to offer then meets the eye.
I don't think Dowell has impressed in the games he has played in pre season. I think he will have to do a lot more to get Koeman to give him minutes in the first team when the league starts.

Davies just looks like a footballer, I think he will be involved all season, getting experience as the season goes on, but not a regular starter, just too inexperienced.

without a doubt mate, i think he played well at rb in austria btw, so if coleman needs a rest holgate and davies could have a role, but thats about it for this season id say, cant see him getting a look in the mid, we've got like 6 including gueye! he does look like a footballer mate, his composure and decision making is beyond his years... another product of big dave that will prove his worth in the years to come :)

I'm genuinely interested to see how the U23's do when playing Blackpool, Bolton and Cheltenham. A proper test against senior sides

I'm pleased for the tournament for that alone. Three proper matches with actual stakes for the lads. I know the supporters of the lower league sides don't like it, but selfishly I'm very glad they've revamped it

100% mikey, theyve got reason to be disappointed, but when i start caring about other clubs i'll let you know!!! as for our young lads, great opportunity. only question - living in australia im not sure i'll have access to the games, will they be available online?
