There has been a tipping point. That confrontation was ugly. Players are now going backward. And the attacking football is now a complete fiction. Look at our jammy goals. Feel like the club is not going to act until the end of the season. But he should go even if we win the cup. That would be a dream. Everyone wins. Of course, we'll get hammered by the RS, set drubbed by Man Utd, and then fume til the end of the season. We can't have good things.
Sorry for negativity on wrong thread. This lad looked very neat and composed on the ball. Must have been one of the few toffees having the best day of his life.

The one caution against Davies being picked for Wednesday is that he's very much in the Ledson / Joe Willams mould - local lad, highly combative , won't shirk a challenge and he'd be up for it. Both Ledson and Williams have seen yellow/red in mini derbies for some horrendous tackles. Davies has got the experience of captaining England at u17/18 ( but so had Ledson) and if he does come on he'll be surrounded by more experienced heads who can guide him so the risk is diminished a bit. And he's played in two u21 derbies this season, scoring the goal that brought us level in the 3-3 draw and supplying a great assist in a 3-1 win , so he hasn't lost one this season! His box to box energy may be just the thing we need from a sub coming on.

Aye I remember Ledsons challenge in the derby, I think there's a video floating around of that one.

Been watching his development closely for a while now and he has come along leaps and bounds in the last 12 months.

I always wondered who would make the first and biggest impression from that age group. While Ledson/Dowell did well it has to go to Davies.

The biggest thing for young players is the belief that they belong there. Connolly lacked that yesterday whereas Davies had it in abundance. He always wanted the ball and wanted to make an impression.

He is probably the most rounded central midfield we have (compared to Ledson, Walsh and Williams) and can really do a bit of every role. It says a lot about him yesterday he took over Gibsons role which is central for Martinez) and it wasn't Barkley or Besic put back into it. A huge vote of confidence.

The biggest compliment I can pay him, is he looks like he can play as a box to box midfielders, attacking or defensive midfielder. A great cameo yesterday and would happily see him playing some more.
