Oops! Totally posted in wrong thread! But I thought the two lads were a real bright spot on the pitch and in the interview afterwards. (Original post for Bobby thread. Apologies)Tom Davies though?

Wrong thread mate. Had planned to enthuse on here and fume elsewhere and got wires crossed. Will delete if I canLad?
Sorry for negativity on wrong thread. This lad looked very neat and composed on the ball. Must have been one of the few toffees having the best day of his life. There has been a tipping point. That confrontation was ugly. Players are now going backward. And the attacking football is now a complete fiction. Look at our jammy goals. Feel like the club is not going to act until the end of the season. But he should go even if we win the cup. That would be a dream. Everyone wins. Of course, we'll get hammered by the RS, set drubbed by Man Utd, and then fume til the end of the season. We can't have good things.
The one caution against Davies being picked for Wednesday is that he's very much in the Ledson / Joe Willams mould - local lad, highly combative , won't shirk a challenge and he'd be up for it. Both Ledson and Williams have seen yellow/red in mini derbies for some horrendous tackles. Davies has got the experience of captaining England at u17/18 ( but so had Ledson) and if he does come on he'll be surrounded by more experienced heads who can guide him so the risk is diminished a bit. And he's played in two u21 derbies this season, scoring the goal that brought us level in the 3-3 draw and supplying a great assist in a 3-1 win , so he hasn't lost one this season! His box to box energy may be just the thing we need from a sub coming on.
As with Connolly, pleased for the lad.
Both Tom Davies and Gethin Jones would not look out of place in the first team.
