There is nothing to suggest this is the case yet! Would you rather we just spunk what money we have willy nilly? Who says rm wants Ince? Who's to say we should want to pay more, just because we have some spare cash?

I think so far nothing suggests money is being held back from RM and were not activitely looking into various options. People really do knee jerk on here!

End of the day mate, we will only be able to fully judge it at the end of the window when we see IF we do any serious business, and we can look at the other players who have moved and for what fees, only then will it be evident if theirs players who we have obviously missed out on due to a lack of backing, example if de bruyne goes, defour, holtby, batsuyi, etc and we see their fees are what should have been affordable and we didnt bid for any then theirs something worth answering imo

Personally don't think we can fully judge till the summer business is done. But I see your point with some of the names you mention there which as a fan would agree could do a job. Could be things in pipeline for summer we don't know about, which could be earmarking some money?

Nah mate my footy manager days are way behind me like, i know the problems involved in mid season signings and finances etc, simple fact is though, when your in the position we are atm, with supposedly available funding and a mounting injury list, then if you don't invest at that point the opportunity will quickly dissapear, anything can happen in the summer which can greatly effect the landscape and a opportunity now may not be present their next year

I agree with waiting until this and possibly the summer window are over before getting frustrated. I know with everton we've been given the next window thing before but hopefully its different under Martinez

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying we should be waiting till summer. If the right opportunities present themselves in jan we MUST take advantage. But at the same time don't just do any deal to spend for spending sake.

Pretty sure you can count on one hand the jan deals that have paid off in both the short and long term.

Yep would agree with all those apart from jela who was immence short term shocking long term. They were all low cost gambles tho. Spending big in jan doesn't often work and usually costs more than it should of done.

Would it not be all the sweeter if a Liverpool supporter and former player was doing really well for Everton.
