exactly, unless he can play behind the striker? having osman and naismith as backup is a massive step down from barkley.

or mirallas becomes 2nd choice striker, so we need another winger in case we have to go down that route :s or pienaar becomes a centre mid and the same cycle begins.

i'd leave it until the summer myself. will probs have gone somewhere else by then though.

Its incredible how short sighted some people are in terms of squad depth and quality.

Our bench on saturday was complete horse 5hite. You can never have too many good players. IF we can get this kid now for £2/4m then get him.

Not only does it give him 6 months to get up to speed, he would be a better option than anything we had on the bench on sat. Also, we want a good cup run so another good attacking addition to the squad is needed and well timed.

Next season I dont want Naismith or Osman anywhere near the starting 11. Both not good enough, although Osman has still got the brain and makes a massive impact from the bench at 70 mins or so, its not his fault his legs have started to let him down with the pace of the prem for the full 90.

Pienaar is also nearing the end of his career. Martinez is getting a brilliant blend of youth and experience. We have a nucleus to our team thats full of quality youngsters...Ince adds to that IMO and for a couple of million its mental to let him move to another club in this window.

For the business men out there, a 4/5 year deal automatically means were gonna make money on the kid if it doesnt work out in his first season or two. Its a no brainer for me.

As we are selling Jelevic I think we need to spend the money we have on a forward. Apparently Martinez wants Batshuyi and to get him we need to pay the £7m up front, if thats the case I think we will have to wait on Ince.

So for Ince it probably comes down to if he is happy to wait until the summer, or does he want to move the the premier league in this window and go to Cardiff (or someone like that). I suppose if he is in the Premier league there is a chance he could get in the England squad and go to the World Cup, if he performs well.

It's sometimes out of your hands tho, whilst a summer deal may be best for us, if others are after him too it could force our hand to deal now if we want him.

There is nothing to suggest this is the case yet! Would you rather we just spunk what money we have willy nilly? Who says rm wants Ince? Who's to say we should want to pay more, just because we have some spare cash?

I think so far nothing suggests money is being held back from RM and were not activitely looking into various options. People really do knee jerk on here!
