Are we collecting wingers? or does it mean Peanuts is going?

Well I thought the signing of McGready might end our interest in Ince, but according to others that is not the case. I can see Ince or McGready looking to replace Piennar on the left, but does anyone else think that Piennar could act as cover fpr Barkley behind the main striker. He certainly has the football intelligence to do so and I would think would be better in that role than Osman.

I think if we bring both Ince and Mcgeady in and I defintely feel like RM will move one of either Peinaar or Mirallas inside (most likely Peinaar)

I feel for the lad. He never gives less then 100% works his socks off but contributes very little. Miralles does half his work rate is infuriating to watch at times and then does something sublime that wins you a game. That is the difference why we accommodate the likes of Kev he is a match winner. Naismith does a job as a squad player nothing more. Sorry wrong thread this should have gone in the Naismith thread.

I think Ince would be a useful addition, I think he might come in the summer though and sign a pre-contract agreement during the window. I think we really need to sign a striker, since Jelevic is as good as sold.

He'll be 32 by the end of the season. Still got 2 years left to run on his contract. Maybe he is thinking of one last move?

We may or may not get to keep Deulofeu next season. If not, we'll have McGeady, Pienaar and Mirallas for two positions, so we won't exactly be over-loaded. Ince can play out wide or in the hole, giving competition/cover to Barkley and if a promising player becomes available for a knock-down price it's worth looking at.

I was sure that the rule was that players are free to negotiate pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs once they enter the final 6 months of their contract but I've looked and there are examples of it happening in the same country eg. Lewandowski to Bayern, so it can't be true. I guess it must be one of those things that the 'papers repeat without actually knowing the facts.

Won us the Chelsea game, got us a draw against Liverpool last season, scored a belter against Chelsea last game of last season, hardly a player who contributes very little

Pienaar was majestic today for me, but he'll be on the decline sooner or later. I wouldn't be devastated if he left in the summer, especially if we can get some sort of fee. But let's not forget it's unlikely we'll have Deulofeu for another year, which leaves us with just McGeady and Mirallas, with absolutely no backup. McGeady can't just stroll into the first XI. If Pienaar does leave we need, imo, a better player than McGeady to come into the side. If Deulofeu stays, however, it might be a good time to bid farewell to Pienaar, who has been a great player for us and deserves huge credit for having the courage to make the move back from Spurs. Top Toffee.

Pienaar is quality, I think he will be here next year. If we can keep Deulofeu another year and see how McGeady does this season we may be ok on that side for the next 12 months at least. IMO we need to concentrate on getting a healthy rotation of quality strikers and maybe another couple of good midfielders to replace Osman and Naismith.
