Tom Ince

Reading some of the comments about him, it'll be interesting if we bring him in along with McGeady. Both players seem to have been described as having poor attitudes at the club, and Martinez stressed that he wants to make sure he brings the right people in so as not to upset the feeling in the locker-room.

He's also stressed the contributions of players like Hibbert, who haven't seen the pitch but apparently still demonstrate leadership. Given that he praises this type of player, I find it a little strange that he's going in for Ince and McGeady. Maybe Bobby thinks he can change them?

Is anything certain about this Ince lad?

reading what echo said and the live chat with Greg O'Keeffe and putting 1+1 together:

Few teams interested in him, none of which as big as Everton, teams like Swansea, those teams are ready to buy him now

Martines met or will meet him and tell him if he waits till the summer, he will move to Everton

So up to him to decide if he wants to move now to a mid-table team or to Everton in the summer

In the same time, if he didn't move this window and ran down his contract, next summer other teams might be interested in him, teams like Spurs or Newcastle or maybe even others, teams that can pay him better than us

him being the son of a former Red ****e player

In the last 10 years or so Liverpool won several trophies thanks to players who were/are Evertonians

While in here some people refuse to sign a player who is the son of an ex-liverpool player

Seriously?

He's a self admitted Arsenal fan so his dads connections for me dont matter one bit mate, besides Ince i will always associate moreso with man utd anyways, not exactly what i'd call a kop icon or whatever

He was all set to sign for Cardiff in the summer and rejected it at the last minute.

His missus has recently given birth at the same Stockport hospital where he was born. Adding 2+2 I reckon he wants to stay in the North West.

He'll probably know Stones and Barkley from the U21 too. And he might want to stick two fingers up to the RS.

Not to mention our very own ex-liverpudlian:

If Martinez thinks Ince is good enough, then that's all that matters.

Ince would make our squad much better and possibly be a starting 11 player. The lad has been tipped as a future full England International. The lad has a talent. Anybody who doesn't want Ince for anything other than footballing reasons clearly doesn't want Everton to progress and do well. There are not much better England youth's out there a his young age, and to think we could have Stones, Ince and Barkley in the same team is very exciting, not only for Everton but England also.

Not necessarily. Dont think Roberto sees Pienaar as a wide man. Signing Ince & McGeady allows us to bring Pienaar in field, personally think Mirallas' best position is behind the striker or as the striker as well, so, even if we do sign these two, theres still room for another out and out wide man.

I think Martinez does see Pienaar as a wideman but knows he's not getting any younger and is possibly picking injuries up more regular so wants cover/competition. Martinez always talks about finding good partnerships within the side and always refers to Baines & Pienaar as a prime example and being one of, if not, the best in the league.

I mean I'd love to see Deulofeu back next season, or us sign both McGeady & Ince to play down the right so that we can start playing Mirallas down the left as I think he plays better and is more of a threat from there. I think I can only remember Mirallas playing off the striker once but I'd much prefer to see Barkley in the No.10 role.

NO THANKS! totally over rated.

Kid deserves alot of respect imo. Turned down a contract with Liverpool to get first team football and has done really really well in the championship. He deserve a chance in the PL and he seem to be getting better. And for you lot he doesnt have much connection with our friends on the other side as he wasnt there for long time and we already know kid has good sense as he's a gooner(y)
