I think ( ? ) he was ~2 million, rising to 5, but that was two years ago and I'd wager that transfer fees have outstripped inflation since then
Yes, they're out there, but Hibbo is nowhere near as poor as people are making out :-

From a different era where a full backs job was to defend .. Yes
So a bit outdated and unfashionable .. Yes
Not great going forward .. Yes

Still able to do a job for us ... Yes

Anyway, Martinez has shown by removing Gueye and Vellios from the squad that behind his smile there's a ruthless streak and if he thinks the wood is dead, he'll chop it out. This isn't a "job for the boys" contract renewal, Hibbo plainly features in his plans.

In an injury crisis you are often left with little choice, that's why it's a crisis. Hibbert is happy to accept a back up role on a reduced wage (maybe) to cover Coleman until we can find, develop or afford a better option. Just accept it and move on you flair loving idiot.

To be fair he's played PL football for 12 years!

Used to love Vs Ronaldo.

No doubting Seamus is the better player, in modern terms, well in almost everyway! But Hibbert was part of a defensive unit that was regularly in the top of the PL defensive stats for more seasons then not!

Does he have a contribution to make, he'll yeah, Carling Cup, away in Russia!

I for one don't want Seamus flogged from Thurs-Sun.
 
In two years time people should look at who in the youth team will in there.

This is a stop gap it looks to bridge Coleman and a young understudy
