No longer panic when players run at him, which is nice (and understates how competent he is, to be fair).

Disappoined he decided to pause his watch and faff about in our half when he had a clear run on goal towards the end though. The whole game just seemed to stop, confused that the space was there and he wasn't running into it.

Top Top performance tonight.Wise old head never gave origin a sniff

Solid tonight. He's no Coleman going forward, but it looks like Martinez knew what he was doing when he gave Hibbert a new contract.

.....have to agree. I was critical of the contract extension. He's not a RM type of player but he's providing adequate cover as the No2 No2. I suspect RM has an eye on youngsters coming through and didn't want to invest in a RB when he knows we'll be ok in 18 months or so.

Thought he was his solid if unspectacular self last night. Origi got no joy from him despite his height and pace advantages and when he swapped wings the other lad didn't fare any better.

We are utterly spoiled having Coleman, so comparing anyone covering for him is tough. But Hibbo has been sound this season, by and large, and that is the first requirement of a full back.
