Rafael has had almost as many injuries as Hibbert the past couple of years and when he is fit he's had a bad disciplinary record. We should of got Rafael and just swerved Hibbert to his coaching role he'll have soon anyway

Yeah, hope he does well as seemed a nice lad off field - just a touch too injury prone and emotional.Id still have him over Hibbert when fit though. Rafael gobe to Lyon fir 2.5mill??

Revealed: Tony Hibbert in world football star's all-time XI
Hibbert's Everton team-mate Tim Howard picks him plus two more Blues in best team
- Hibbert's Everton team-mate Tim Howard picks him plus two more Blues in best team.
When respected footy magazine FourFourTwo asked Tim Howard for a team of the best players he's encountered during a long career, some names were expected.
Cristiano Ronaldo? Check . Ryan Giggs? Of course . Didier Drogba. Check . Tony Hibbertche...woah wait a minute !
But the Everton shotstopper is nothing if not loyal to his Blues teammates.
Indeed Howard names four Everton players in the team, or three if you exclude the immodest selection of himself in goal, and it's across the back four where he feels the Toffees shine.
Here's his team and his explanations for why he picked them:
GK Tim Howard: My goalkeeper? It's got to be me, of course! I need to win some games - and I'd love to play in this side. I know all of the defenders' games very well so with this team don't think I can lose.
RB Tony Hibbert: A right-back needs to be tough and no-nonsense. That's Tony - he's as likely to fight you as smile at you. He plays the ball into good areas and wins his battles. You know what you're going to get.

CB Phil Jagielka: Jags is first on my team-seet. He's my security blanket. I've played with him for what seems like forever - we know what eachother's thinking. We laugh on the pitch and we curse eachother, too.

CB Rio Ferdninad: I played with Rio when people spoke about him and Alessandro Nesta as the world's two best centre-backs. He was young, strong, could play with both feet - everything you want in a centre-half.
LB Leighton Baines: He has mastered so many trades on that left side. He's a brilliant defender, but when it comes to going forward to assist in attack, he's second to none. In fact, I don't think he should be a left-back.
Leighton Baines - too good for left back!
DM Roy Keane: He was probably the greatest player I've played with; a brilliant captain, able to marshal a game with just his voice, and an intimidating figure - but I respected him because he played the right way.
CM Landon Donovan: I played many, many years with him and he's probably the greatest American player ever. If you look at his stats and the things he's done for the game back home, he deserves a place.

CM Steven Gerrard: Even as an Evertonian I can't deny how amazing he was for club and country. At his best he was powerful, taking no crap from anyone. He always got into the box and often scored against the run of play.
RW Cristiano Ronaldo: I had the good fortune of hanging onto his coat-tails at Man United. It's hard to fathom he was going to be the best in the world, but he had the pedigree. He has gone from great to utterly amazing.

CF Didier Drogba: He was the toughest striker I have ever faced: powerful in the air and strong on both feet. He had blazing speed and he never passed the ball into the goal - there was always venom behind it.
LW Ryan Giggs: A legend of many generations, he was a kid in the early 90s and until recently still playing and still having an effect. He was a brilliant winger with his skills unmatched by any Premier League wideman.
