Coleman hasn't reached the standards he was at two seasons ago - agreed.

If you think Hibbert could be anywhere near as good as an out of form Coleman then you'd be mistake. He would be absolutely embarrassed at this level now. He was actually embarrassed at this level throughout his entire career.

I know he's turned into a bit of a joke figure, but Hibbert was a good out and out defender for us for the best part of a decade, and played a big part in some very good Everton teams/defences. He even did alright when he came in last season, especially Wolfsburg away.

I don't reckon any of us would want to see him come back into the team now, but to say he was "embarassed throughout his career" is just not true.

I don't have the time to go through the vault, but there are a tremendous amount of Blues saying this game means nothing essentially, and an equal amount of Blues distraught over the fact that Hibbo MAY play. If the games is a wash, then why the uproar of who plays?

A lot will convince themselves we have already lost because the team inspire such little faith right now, but even those fans will watch with half an closed, hoping against reality that we can pipe down those odious attention seekers, so no one in their right mind wants to see a fossilised hibbert playing 2 meters deeper than his own center halves
