He gained cult status for being absolutely woeful. Do you think any other supposed too team would take him?

Every time he played we took the piss out of him by shouting 'shoot!'

Now, instead of moving on years ago to try and gain first team football st a club his level, he chose to sit there picking up a wage packet from us for doing nothing.
So If your boss offered you a pay rise and you didn't think you deserved it you'd turn it down? Because that's what you're basically saying.

one doesn't attain cult status by being ordinary ergo Hibbo is no ordinary footballer. In fact, I'd go so far to say, his (continuing) football career is extraordinary.

Back in 2009 or whenever, Hibbo used to drive me utterly insane but now I consider him at the very least a cult hero bordering on a legend. A loyal, uncomplaining, down to earth, untheatrical all round decent bloke of a footballer. A rare breed. He doesn't dive, feign injury or brandish imaginary yellow cards at refs or assault taxi drivers when pissed up at 4am. Everton would show him a new contract and he would sign it 10 secs later without phoning his agent (ok, I'm making that up). You get the gist. If I had ever been a footballer I would only ever have wanted to play for Everton and no one else. Hibbo has achieved this.
