Tony Hibbert

He's been utter dog doo doo for a good few years now. Although, he was actually very good for us... solid and you'd actually be surprised he notched up quite a few assists. Not the best video ever but here's to you Tony!

Hibbo during his Everton career has been sweet and sour in regards to his skills, a veritable a-z on the scoreboard ranging from being one of the best whole hearted, committed tacklers I have seen to him being one of the most frustratingly bad crossers of a ball I have witnessed. I wish him well for the future in whatever he chooses to do.

PS is it ok to transfer the fish puns here or would that be a mist hake

He's from a different footballing era, so I can see why he's so revered by some and reviled by others.

Full-backs these days are supposed to contribute as much going forward as going back (some may argue that full-backs in the modern game are secondary wingers, and that's it) - but as far as traditional full-backs go Tony Hibbert has to be considered as one of the best English players of his generation.

I don't think our club has any kind of tokenism, and you don't get 300 appearances over 15 years from just being a decent lad.

Was never a Hibbert basher and always thought he's been harshly treated by Blues (there's a long list of home grown players that has happened to here) but I will be fuming later if I've paid £52 for a ticket to see him play right back in the derby. When was the last 1st team game he played in?

Despite his failings, he would have at least shown the one thing the rest of them wasters didn't show tonight...passion

Imagine it though, just allow yourself to imagine...Hibbert sets up our winning goal in the semi then scores a last minute winner in the final, a 40 yard screamer after a mazy dribble past 4 of their players!

Absolute dreamland. But, of course, because we're Everton, it would mean Bobby keeps his job and we end up getting relegated next year.
