[. ="Norwegian Cow, post: 4469518, member: 2813"]Hibbert, an Everton player to remember. Great defender.[/QUOTE] why to the first, dont be silly to the second. Lol

Goodnight sweet prince.

I don't know if I'm happy or sad you finished your career here without scoring. At least your legend will go on with a record impossible to surpass.

In all seriousness though he was one hell of a defender. Unfortunate to be half way through his career when suddenly being good going forward as a fullback became a necessity and not a bonus. Still, brilliant reader of the game and top tackler. 3 inches taller and he'd have been a class CB (even then when asked to play CB he utterly bossed it). Unlike the other two released players he never caused any hassle for the club, just did what was asked then went off to fish.

Nice one Tony.

Haha, I literally just popped in here to write that.

End of an era.
We all knew his weaknesses, his strength was that he was a very good defensive full back.
A true Evertonian and unfortunately will now never score that goal.

Between youth and the first team he stuck with Everton for 25 years. How many players will ever be able to say that again.

Going to be weird having someone else wear #2 someday.

Liability apart from the night he played centre half against city in Goodison 11/12 season he was very good. Out with the old...
