Most of you are missing the point. His complaint is not about losing his job, it was that no one was willing to tell him. Hearing news like that via the club website is classless by Everton. Everyone has the right to expect more than that from their employer, i would say even more so if you are in the public eye like footballers.

Anyone who disagrees with this is mental. Shoddy from Everton, and I can't blame Hibbo for fuming. I would be too.

He needs to just get over it, he was loved by the Goodison crowd but his time come and gone. He has made plenty on money and that's it. You know in the real world there are occasions when people turn up to work and they are given a box to clear out there desk. They are then escorted out of the building by security or another staff member, not given the chance to say goodbye. Fair enough they could have thrown a party but let's be honest here, he's a professional and that's how it is in this world.

I can't believe his remarks about the atmosphere at Everton being 'dog eat dog', because it certainly doesn't translate to the pitch. For the last coupe of seasons, they've been a bunch of clueless whoppers!

I would be gobsmacked if in this day and age and any day and age a contract didn't have a timescale and expiry date on it. Months or weeks before contract end is time to find out whats going on by either the player or his agent. He knew deep down what was happening as I cannot see him believing he deserved another one. The club should have phoned him but that's a minor issue considering the brattish behaviour that has ensued. He is hurt because he has spent a long time at Everton getting rich without giving much back and now it has been taken away from him. Bitter man who needs a reality check.
