Would these memories be the time he managed to get sent off 50 something minutes into a derby? My memory is a bit hazy on this but i think he could have at least brought down the player outside the box instead of waiting until he was in it!!

Or is it the stinker he played in the cup final? or perhaps it's just the other 262 games he played where I had a feeling of dread anytime the ball was in a 20 metre radius of him?

I have no positive memories of him at all. None. I thought in the last few years he was dependable in the handful of games he played and the ongoing joke of the crowd shouting SHOOOT!! whenever he was within 45 yards of the goal, which kind of brought me back on side but his hissy fit has led to a revaluation.

The answer to your question would therefore be a big yes, I would tell him what I think to his face.
Cant agree more, used to make a strange deep inner noise every time i saw his name in our starting lineup, then even worse sounds watching the talentless fraud actually try and play football and would then find myself arguing with some blues over the fact that they saw his loyalty as being more worthy than actually him being any good. This despite him taking millions from the club jeezzzzz

His comments publicly criticising the club.

Show he's a waste of space.

If he's got personal with Kenwright. Shouldn't be bringing Everton into it. Especially as he has in the media.

Waste of space.

he won't have personal with bill unless it affects his own wage, think we all have seen what hibbert is now, how the mask has slipped

I agree.

Couldn't believe some of the comments out of him.

Multi millionaire moaning like he's been put on the dole by Everton.

Shut up Hibbert whilst you choose the new cars for you and the wife.

Absolutely disgraceful comments from a joke of a player.

I seriously want him banned from Goodison.

Brought the club who paid him millions into disrepute.

Acting like he was hard done to. It's a joke. He doesn't know the meaning of hardship compared to some people in Liverpool and outside of Liverpool.

I'm livid about it.

Completely out of touch with reality. His comments were disgraceful.

Thinking about this a bit more I'm a bit pissed off at Hibbert. "It's not the same club anymore, it's a ruthless business, blah blah blah".

What about Everton In The Community, Tony? What about all the good work normal people at the club do for underprivileged people? The visits the players do to Alder Hey at Christmas for all those sick children? The fact that Everton are by far and away the best club in the league for charity work?

I'm fairly sure Everton don't do all that for money and publicity. I feel like he's just taken a massive dump from a great height with his massive sweeping statements about how "It isn't the people's club any more, blah blah". He's made it all about him.

He should have been informed of his departure as a matter of courtesy, but he's made himself look an ungrateful and immature fool with his disgraceful comments.

Hibbos statement was over the top but so is the criticism of him from certain quarters ffs.He should have been told in person what the story was but i suppose the club hierarchy had better things to be doing like grovelling and fawning over Wayne Rooney.

I'm sure he knows all that really. When I read the article I got the impression that a rather dense bloke has been taken for a ride by a journalist. I reckon he will have been mortified when he read it, and rightly so. He may have just killed any chance of a coaching job in the future.

Still think we could have avoided this situation if the club had have pulled him into a room for 10 seconds and said "sorry Tony, its over".
He has been at the club long enough to know how it works, and I am sure in the past, if a players contract isnt being renewed then they were informed privately first. Tony was probably expecting the same and I would doubt he even thought he was being kept on, but was expecting to be told.

Now he really shouldnt have said what he said in the papers, it sounds like sour grapes and the club looked after him for a lot longer than it should. Still and all, its not Tony's fault he got his last big contract, and as an employer, he should have been told regardless.

All the comments about his lack of ability, FA Cup performance, or whatever else really doesn't come into it, it was the club that stuck by his ability instead of going out and buying a quality right back. Watching Tony Hibbert in our team for years was tough and a lad of his quality should not have had as many appearances Everton, but he did, and thats the clubs fault, not Hibbo's. How hard would it have been just to say cheerio ?

Yeah him and Ossie didn't get handled very well in terms of them leaving.

That said, Tony needs to be grateful for the money he fleeced the club out of whilst sitting on his arse. 45 mins last year for that money.

He should have publicly apologized for taking the piss!

That story was in the Daily Mail.

Ergo the probability is that Tony Hibbert's words to the interviewer have been grossly distorted.

I for one will not jump on to the anti Hibbo bandwagon nor will I criticise the club for any alleged mishandling of his dismissal notice based on owt published in that rag.
