It is a flawless script. I would say that L.A. Confidential is an even better one, but I get where you're coming from. The rules that Exley lays out (with the assistance of Cromwell), then violates, are completely filthy.

Hot Fuzz might be the best script in the vein you're describing. There are no wasted words.

Yeah, Hot Fuzz is tight, with an near-Airplane level of gags per minute. So many visual gags happening at all times.
