@Martin Alvito I must have similar taste, most your top albums I really like.

For me

1) Blue Oyster Cult - Secret Treaties
2) Pink Floyd - The Wall
3) Metallica - An Justice For All
4) Dark Tranquillity - The Gallery
5) Opeth - Still Life
6) Megadeth - Peace Sells
7) Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
8) Exodus - Tempo of the Damned
9) Anthrax - Among The Living
10) Kiss - Kiss

Like any top 10 list, especially in music there are many other albums were dam close to going in my top 10, or could do on another day when I'm feeling different.
MINDCRIME!!!!!!!! Saw them play the whole thing at the Ryman. Can't believe I left that one off the list of live shows. Best venue, not close. Would you believe that the best thing they played that night was Empire in the encore, though? Absolutely ripped, can still hear in my head.

Filthy list, sir. War Is My Shepherd is the ultimate guilty pleasure. (Seen that one live, too.) I'll forgive you the wrong Megadeth album, though Peace Sells is really good. Actually got the drafting teacher to let me put Peace Sells on during class, freshman year. Don't think I talked him into Seasons In the Abyss.

Justice is the right one. Among the Living is also the correct choice, if you don't like John Bush as much as I do.

It was very hard to pick just one.

It's a huge shame Big L wasn't able to make more music, too.

Hybrid Theory is a great one. I remember buying the Crawling single on CD (remember those days eh?) and I was blown away by the B-side, Papercut. I still prefer this version.

Also, In Colour is an interesting one. Girl is one of my all time favourite songs.

I saw Jamie XX live at Reading a few years ago and he was superb. I had a euphoric moment whilst stoned as heck when Loud Places came on.

Hybrid Theory was a game changer of an album (Can’t believe it was their debut album). It blew peoples minds both in the general music consuming public space and the music industry itself.

Jamie XX’s in colour is another one that broke the mold. My daughter bought it for me on vinyl a few years ago and I still play it regularly and it never dissapoints.

I really think that might be because it's the most album orientated type of music really

Maybe, dunno. I still only listen to albums and EP if I can. I think mid 30's is a odd age where you remember pre streaming listening, but still use modern ways

I recently found out that people make streaming playlists for albums and take out the tracks they don't like. Baffling

I kept it to one per band, otherwise Rust In Peace would of snuck into list as well.

Love John Bush, but I think Anthrax music just wasn't as good when he was in the band, not his fault he's a great vocalist, they were in that awkward 90s stage a lot of older metal bands went through trying to adjust Thier style.

Seen Operation Mindcrime live.as well, back in 2008 they played the whole album of Mindcrime 1 and 2.
Was great but was a bit of a slog in the end because it was a long concert and 2 kind of sucks

Yeah, that tour, at the Ryman. But they played every bit of Mindcrime, mate. Both horns upraised.

Learned about Fate's at that show because I swear to God half the audience was wearing their T-shirts, and I said...if you lot are all wearing their stuff, I gotta check that one out.

Saw Geoff Tate last year playing Rage for Order and Mindcrime, in order and back to back.m in a pub in Newcastle. Rage for Order is their best album and Neue Regel their best song

Sound Of White Noise is one of their best albums - just doesn't fit into their 'thrash' aesthetic so lots of fans dismiss it as their 'grunge' album

I'd suggest it's a lot fiercer than some of the more screechy and cheesy Belladonna material

So, like, that one is the answer, But Among the Living is absolutely filthy.

The conclusion is that Scott Ian is the man.

Among The Living is amazing - and Persistence of Time is great too - mainly because of Scott Ian
Swear to God my randomize just took me from Among the Living to Altar of Sacrifice. Face = melt.

And then the rando goes to Can U Deliver. It really does not want me to have a face.
