Just like the film thread, these would probably change tomorrow

Curtis mayfield, Superfly
Radiohead Kid A
The Stone roses, the stone roses
The Prodigy, the prodigy experience
Nick Drake, Five leaves left
Snoop doggy dogg, Doggystyle
The roots, things fall apart
The Longpigs, sun is often out
Zero 7, simple things
Rise and fall of Ziggy stardust
Superfly an interesting one. In the soul genre I would include Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes as well.

give me your love, Little child, superfly, Freddie’s dead, pusherman… Isaac Hayes went up to new heights in my estimation by playing chef in South Park. Curtis was an excellent guitarist for me.

I should of mentioned they were in no particular order, now I can see why it would be a strange choice sitting above the other albums 😂

Yeah forgot Zero 7 , Simple Things , it's a great album.

Wu Tang Clan - 36 Chambers
Chemical Brothers - Surrender
Kings of Leon - Aha Shake Heartbreak
Bob Marley - Legend
Notorious BIg - Ready To Die
Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti
Travelling Wilburys - Volume 1
The Prodigy - Experience
The 2 Bears - Be Strong
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing

Some random stuff and I’ve definitely forgotten a load that’d probably swap in, but I reckon I could survive with just these 10 albums. Maybe.

Actually I feel bad about and therefore an honourable mention to

Giant Steps, John Coltrane
Rumours, Fleetwood Mac
Lianne Le Haves, Lianne Le Haves
Pet Sounds , The Beach Boys

I'm sure there's loads more

There are....

I forgot
Band on the Run , Wings
Love and Affection, Joan Armatrading
The Steamer , Stan Getz
Bebel Gilberto, Bebel Gilberto
Incantations, Mike Oldfield
The 6 Wives , Rick Wakeman
Look Sharp,
Joe Jackson

Jeez there are so many!

My favourite albums aren't neccessarily what I listen to regularly, but they often represent a defining point or change in what I predominantly listened to at the time. That sounds rather pretentious, admittedly.

John Talabot - Fin
Mount Kimbie - Crooks & Lovers
Bonobo - Dial 'M' for Monkey
Burial - Untrue
Bop - Clear Your Mind
Foals - Total Life Forever
The Cribs - Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever
The Libertines - Up The Bracket
A Tribe Called Quest - Midnight Marauders
Big L - Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous

I cant work out if you're being ironic putting Extreme into all these lists.
What? Gary/Nuno is one of the all time great rock tag teams.
Thats the thing isnt it?

I havnt sat and listened to an entire album for years, but for me, its sommet like this.

High Voltage AC/DC
Highway to Hell. AC/DC
Back in Black AC/DC
Led Zep IV
Dark Side
All that you cant leave behind. U2
This is my truth tell me yours. Manics
Nils Loghran. (Sic) Nils Loghran
Ray of Light. Madonna
Innocent Man. Billy Joel.

They all meant sommet to me at some point in my life.
That is a filthy list, and I'm not just saying that because you're a mod. I would substitute True Blue as the Madonna album.

Because I don't understand how your favourite albums can be the same for summer and winter for eg. I bought a ticket to see Codeine in Sept, I bought it in Feb. I've not listened to them since March/April because the sun has been out

The minute it starts to get dusky in October, I like to listen to Burial. It's hot in the UK today, and listening to him doesn't cross my mind

There aren't many genres of music I don't listen to, which I am fairly proud of but I just enjoy being flexible and let the vibes take me

With films - I love David lynch, but his films stress me up so I don't watch them much. But the fact he can do that makes me love him
I mean, that's fair. Power Windows is a summer album, and Signals is a winter album. Hold Your Fire is one for all seasons, though.

Ray of Light, the song, was a near-list on my best songs list. Some of the club remixes of it are incredible.
