Torres dive

Are you? It's very apparent in the slower footage. Absolutely unambiguously, there is significant contact which trips Torres up. If you can't see it here then I give up.

I was asking: Are you seriously suggesting that there was enough contact to make him fall down like that?

There is contact, and if he feels contact he is going down, especially right on the edge of the penalty area as Torres is there. 95% of players would do the same. If Torres wasn't a Liverpool player, there would not be a thread on this.

Nah mate, I think you'll find that BECAUSE they're Liverpool players they do it. Ngog, St Stevie they all do it.

That's just the latest example of a blatant dive. It's Torres who should have been booked for simulation.

Maybe they learnt how to dive from Yakubu.

Actually scrub that, there's actually consist of a bit of effort to make them look half real at least.

Maybe you could tell me exactly how everybody would fall when their heels are clipped whilst running at speed and not expecting it? I take it there's one standard way of falling which is allowed?

The guys still a whinging ladyboy but in this instance he didn't dive, and to say so is ridiculous or biased, probably a combination of both.

The Chilean's knee hits Torres's foot causing him to tangle up his legs and go down. Definitely a foul.

If the ref thinks it was intential at all then a booking is the right decision.
He wasn't even looking at him so it's completely fortuitous. Not a booking in my opinion but the same player should have had a second yellow a few minutes before that so it wasn't a complete travesty of justice

This.

Every team has a player who takes the odd tumble now and again. We are no different to alot of other sides.

And there is slight contact which makes Torres leg hit his other. And when you are running at pace, you tend to fall over.

I'm actually embarrased for you guys saying there was no contact. There clearly is and like Columbia said, if he wasn't a Liverpool player, there wouldn't be a thread like this. You're so biased.

There are usually one of two tell-tale signs for a dive:

1. The player goes down too quickly, as though both legs have suddenly lost all feeling (like a skyscraper being demolished by explosives!)

2. The player leaps into the air slightly just before he goes down, usually doing a dying swan twist, often with arms in the air.

Hmmm. Delete where applicable.

I think there's a little clip which causes one of Torres's legs to connect with his other causing him to buckle. Honestly dont think he cheated on this particular occasion. And tbh if the ref does give a free kick there it has to be a yellow card so I don't think any ammount of play acting changed the decision.

He's a cheating little lesbian.

Far be it from me to complement the Chicmonster, but that made me LOL

What? Why?

I'm amused at us being accused of being biased, though. It's football not jury duty, bias is kind of the point.

Because if he judges it to be synical attempt at stopping Torres from getting into the box for a possible goal scoring oppertunity its a yellow as opposed to a red for denying a definate goal scoring oppertunity.
