Gray points out that the ball was set far away from the position of the foul when the free kick was taken (a 'foul' that Reid and Gray both disagreed with in the first place), hence Barry walking with his back turned as he thought the ball would be set at the position of the foul.

Also points out that the Coleman penalty was an actual penalty.

Well I'm a bit annoyed now.

Now. IF that was Phil Thompson talking about a RS decision............

What would we be saying?

We switched off. End of.

I thought at the time the pen looked more like a stumble tbh. Not so sure now though.

Still fuming a bit here.

Really think we should have won that. That was a Spurs for the taking. I work with a few Spurs fans but they we're sound today. They said they felt they were quite lucky really.

Laying the ball off for Osman and being on the end of a pass that never was doesn't warrant a quality performance in my view. Maybe he didn't do all that much wrong but he didn't exactly add much to our game, either. I'm not scapegoating him, he does his best like. But he isn't what we need to be where we want to be.

But at least he can finish, unlike Jela. He shouldn't be as high on the depth chart as he is, but that's not his fault. He played well yesterday.

Now i have watched that it has made me a bit frustrated, they shouldn't have been allowed to have taken the free kick from there that's why our players were not ready, and also that is a penalty.

I reckon we just go for it now, no playing Osman or Naismith now that we have our younger more exciting players fit and ready to play, look at the RS for example - they have no fear and just attack teams as their defence is poo and they just slotted 4 past Arsenal in 20 minutes. I think our team against Palace should be - Howard Coleman Jags Distin Baines Barry Barkley McCarthy Mirallas Traore Deulofeu , that team is full of excitement and goals. Our recent games have been disappointing especially Spurs as we just weren't ruthless enough (our problem throughout the season) ... Cardiff away, Palace away. Let's go for it now lads.

Pound to a penny you will see either Osman or Naismith start, perhaps even both.

I always thought the best tactic was start with the strongest team posssible to grab a couple of goals and take it from there.

They will sit back, park the bus and try to get us on the break. Have to win and get the points or even chasing for 5th could be hard.

After 24 hour of quiet contemplation post defeat, and particularly as the game will be played under lights in the seething cauldron of passion that is Goodison Park, I think Palace might incur the monstrous backlash of Everton's wrath...

... 1-0 to us then
