Just watched Spurs' goal back and Gomes' complete lack of determination/awareness to get in between Harry Kane and Lo Celso is infuriating. Sigurdsson also just completely gambles on us winning the header when the ball initially goes out; charging forward, leaving Lo Celso unmarked in the process and then shows absolutely no effort to drop back in again.

Our midfield is weak & our attack is very limited...

We need better players to provide more competition for places too, DCL is playing well & improving but has nobody pushing for his place we must have one of the weakest forward lines in the premiership...
You wouldn't have known he was playing last night. I know he was devoid of service but he was so easily knocked off the ball whenever directly up against an opponent.

Imagine Reidy letting an opposition continually hammer a team mate the way Richarlison was. Retribution would have been had and the fouling stopped.
Exactly mate. We need to earn the right to play by winning our battles in the middle if the park. Tom's got a bit of attitude but not the muscle. Gomes doesn't have a lot of snide. What's fellaini up yo these days? Those elbows around lo celsos jaw would have been useful.

But the manager thought that was his best line up........

the worrying thing is, put all the changes you want in, how much better would it have been? Bernard stunk the gaff out, Kean doesn’t work hard without the ball or smart with it. Gordon had his best 45 for us last night imo. Sidibe is coming back from injury, and honestly how much better than coleman is he?

Going forward a lot better.

Defensively much worse

exactly, and looking at how we played yesterday coleman was like a RCB at times and a wing back at others, so it’s net neutral between those two.

unless you’re playing sidibe in tom’s position, but then I refer to the coming back from injury part, so that was unlikely to happen.

I accept what you say but who on earth would ever want a midfield to be made up of Sigurddson, Gomes and Davies?? His omission of Gordon is right up there with leaving out Kean after his best performance in a blue shirt. I think Carlo was playing Mourinho last night in overthinking his line up and tactics when the reality was an opposition with only one win in its previous ten (and who proved to be as poor as that record would have suggested).
