Have not seen anything of the game as I was out shopping with the Mrs but that analysis seems very balanced and no favouritism.

Is this another case of a Howard mistake costing us 2 points does some good saves but when he blunders it seens to really cost us. Will see on MOTD tonight. Reckon we will be near the end.

Not sure about that, Spurs are the media darlings at the moment.

Crouch was disgusting today.

Over all I am pleased with the point, and we are in the top 10. What a difference a week makes.

Moyes then realised there was no need for Heitinga in the centre of the pitch as he wasn’t able to mark van der Vaart, so removed him and brought on Tony Hibbert, who went to right-back up against the Dutchman, with Phil Neville moving into the middle of the pitch. With no direct opponent, Neville played to the right and helped track van der Vaart, so Moyes didn’t need Coleman helping in that zone, and replaced him with a second striker, Jermaine Beckford.

Some people will read that and hopefully gain a little insight. It's not always just a case of "Ughhh Hibbert on for Heitinga? Ughhhhh Beckford on for Coleman???". It's not always a case of 'Oh lets go 4 4 2 now'. I hate to go on about dynamics and that, but they - along with individual battles play a massive part.

But still, it's dead easy on Football Manager.

Well in Phil.
"Gareth's been murdering everybody," Redknapp said. "But I knew that he (Neville) wouldn't be easy because he knows what he's doing.
"I think he's an underrated player. He's a good pro and he knows how to play and I felt he did a decent job today with Gareth, really - as good as anybody's done with him for a long time."

The only clue some have on "dynamics" is starting threads saying "Moyes Out" "Howard Out" "Cahill Out" "Fellaini should be sold" "Billy Out" "Distin Out" "Neville Out" etc

Thats the only dynamic some have.

Patience is lost on some people.

Equally so is making a change that doesn't involve "switching to 4-4-2" as the one change that solves everything which is totally ridiculous.

Having one answer to every situation is ridiculous. Wheether thats blindly wanting to get rid of someone every time we don't win or it's blindly sticking with someone even if they're clearly not good enough.

Each situation should be judged on its own merits. Sometimes the situation requires patince and sometimes it requires action.

Agreed -- I've bookmarked that site as it was refreshing to read something that takes such a measured thoughtful approach. With the US sports there are loads of sites that nerd up about the NFL or baseball (sometimes going over the top but that's fine at least they're trying) but with football it's all so "laddy" and intellect-phobic.

If anyone knows any similar sites I'd love to check them out.

I'm not long back. A good game to watch where we more than held our own. My brother has just text me to say that BBC made it look like a Spurs onslaught which doesn't surprise me. More of the same on away days please Everton.

We dominated for the first 15 minutes, so they start off about 16 minutes in ¬_¬

"I don't know if it's a dying breed, but he's a great leader," Moyes enthused. "The team seems to function much better with him in the team. He might get to the stage where he might not be the best player but, certainly, the team needs his leadership qualities. You should hear him in the dressing room; you should see him before the game. He's a top man, he really is. He prepares himself right. That's why he's had 50-60 England caps and that's why he's got longevity in his career. He's a terrific leader, motivating, cajoling and he'll always be the first one to put his hand up if he thinks he's not been right on it."

Interesting comments these.
