Apologies if this was mentioned earlier in the thread but did anyone else notice how the commentators continuously described Baines' cracking fk as a Kaboul blunder, etc? You would think it was a 2-foot tap in if you didn't see the goal. :p

This pretty much sums up Spurs. Wrote a facebook status about shitting myself in the last 10 minutes. Got this responce from a spurs 'fan' who lives across the street. Proper knob'ed. Here's a transcript if anyone's interested. Im fuming. Oh, and up until about 5 years ago, he's 24 now, he supported Liverpool (we are down south).

YID: Come back to me when your in the champions league... Yid army,... Better than ******* blue army. [Poor language removed] team [Poor language removed] support

EFCNIK: Lololololololol what a standard comeback. Clearly have some of the best fans in the country. Grrr you are so annoying!! Throwing around '[Poor language removed] team' at everyone. Youve been good for about 2 seasons!! Most Spurs fans Ive talkd to said they li...ke Everton and what we've done over the past 8 or so years. Its your money thats now propelled you above us. And tbh that draw yesterday was without Arteta or Fellaini and a goalkeeping howler gifted you a goal. Think we were good value for our away draw at a team in the champs league tbh. Hardly a [Poor language removed] team. Compare the squads. And anyway mate, the real team you support lost to Blackpool at home ;)

YID: Lol mug. I was at d game yday. How many games u go to a season?? U can say what u want about the old team I used to support but then u realise y support northern scum when your from the south,, followed my dads team. Iv bin more games in the last five seasons for spurs than u have for everton in ur whole life... Ur away support is [Poor language removed], never take up the full allocation offered too em.. And ur supposed to be an up an coming team,.. Yeah rite

EFCNIK: Errr yes we actually do. I cant get to away games because you have to have so many credit points. And Liverpool is 3 and a half hours away. If I went every week it would cost me over a hundred quid a game? Got that sort of money Paul? And ...I work weekends anyway. I get to whatever I can. Anyway you're embarressing yourself and your club. Get off my status. I've got a spurs fan in my family who's sound and hasnt got a bad word to say about Everton. I've got Spurs mates who I get on with. Your dillusional. You've supported Spurs for 5 years. Ive supported Everton all my life. Oh guess what, I follow my dads team to. And everytime you talk about 'northern scum' you are talking about my family. On MY ******* status you horrible ****. Football aside you are bang out of order and your spurs mates (who probably think youre as big a prick as I do) would say the same. Now **** off!

So it sums up Spurs fans yet you have a Spurs fan in your family who is sound and most Spurs fans you've talked to said they like Everton and what we've done.

Its one idiot, not representitive of the fan base as a whole.

OK ok ok, what I meant was 'what a pr*ck!!' It got even worse/funnier to. Fellow Evertonian, another Yid and an Arsenal fan just ripped him to pieces. The 24 year old queues outside the ground hours in advance, gets a pic with the players coming into the ground and makes albums on facebook like a 5 year old. His profile pic up until a few days ago was with Danielle Lloyd (Jamie O'Hara's GF).

Yeah was thinking about it, but it's kinda childish. Especially when his parents live opposite. He moved out a few months ago. Hardly see him. He's a big f*cker though so hopefully not seeing him will continue to be a regular occurence.

Thats fair do's.

A Man U fan i work with recently posted a joke about the rs on his facebook and some rs fan started getting arsey about it. I was gonna tell him what an idiot he was but decided against it.

Just delete him off your Facebook, problem solved (y)

... or stop using Facebook altogether ... either way would work.

Punch him in the mouth tomorrow.

This works too. Three options at no cost to you ... can't say fairer than that.

Hold on a sec ... is he married? If so ... have sex with his wife. That's four options now and you can't go wrong with any of them.

Agreed -- I've bookmarked that site as it was refreshing to read something that takes such a measured thoughtful approach. With the US sports there are loads of sites that nerd up about the NFL or baseball (sometimes going over the top but that's fine at least they're trying) but with football it's all so "laddy" and intellect-phobic.

If anyone knows any similar sites I'd love to check them out.

Glad you liked zonalmarking.com! I've got a few other well versed sites, will post them later!

Facebook is my life. Lets be honest. Its pretty much everyone's lives. It would be like cutting off a limb.

Or your family getting raped over and over.

I would love to punch him, but sadly, he would destroy me. I'm a lankey streak and he's a bit of a big boy with an anger problem. It would be like Shawn The Sheep v Preston The Dog all over again.

He has a girlfriend but I would literally rather bash one out using a cheesegrater thank you very much.

No options left. Its all over. I'll see you on the other side.

Oh look! It's a giraffe on the pitch! Look at him loping, and tripping.

Oh wait.

That's Crouch.

How a man that uncomfortable in his body makes it in football I don't know.

Anyhow, enthused with the point, and the continued revival. Bring on next week!

Heitinga's 'job' on Van der Vaart.

I said he did better than people gave credit for in that match. Still, though, I dont buy the man-for-man analysis. He did the same against Liverpool and no one then was talking about Gerrard or Meireles being 'tracked'. Van der Vaart plays in the area Heitinga is tasked with patrolling. That was it.

He might not be needed as much against the likes of Stoke at home next up, but against better teams - and regardless of distributional failings - Heitinga is a good man to have in CM.
