True, but results are the absolute main thing and the reality is that we have shot ourselves massively in the foot this game whilst other teams at the bottom have won.
You can work it the other way though.
We gained 12 points when the other teams were faultering.
SOmetimes it's going to be a good weekend, sometimes its a great weekend, sometimes its a poor weekend when ti comes to results. The fact of the matter is that without a points deduction we would have started today in the top half.
If we kee playing like a team around 10th/11th, we will be fine. Burnley, Luton, Sheff Utd are all 4 points or more away from us, after us having a ridiculous 10 points taken off. Play like we are playing for the remainder of the season, we will be just fine.
Sometimes we'll play well and not get the points (see today, fulham, wolves).
Sometimes we'll not play so well and still get a result (Palace springs to mind, arguably Burnley).
PLENTY to be positive about, 12 points in the last 15.
Assuming we get beat by City. 12 points out of 18 is still nowhere near relegation form.
You can scroll my posting history, I am one of hte more pessimistic Evertonians. Even I am confident, even with defeat today.
