We were not robbed. We did not take our chances before they scored. Then we gave away two bad goals and then we continued to miss chances.
Seriously need to get away from this mentality that everything and everyone is against us. We lost that game because of our own incompetence. Nothing more.
While that’s true, we didn’t get a couple of decisions in our favour. And the keeper was very lucky at the end

A bit worrying that Luton are pulling results at home and now Burnley are going to Fulham and beating them....
Are Luton, Burnley or Sheff Utd better than us? I don’t think so. It’s the others that are down near the bottom that need to worry more than us. Unless we lose all of our player through a sell off or injuries. Lighten up fella.

Why are there people that are literally fearing relegation still? We are not a bottom half team guys, we are a challenge to any team in the league. This is a blip that could have oh so easily been a win or a draw. So many positives to be drawn from todays game.
Correct. Based on the first half to the season the team is on course for 38 points alone with 16 wins if they replicate their results to date and that's including the ten points deduction. That's also not including four points gained from a potential four draws based on replicating the same form over another 18 matches. Therefore 42 points That's leaving out two results completely also. There's more scope for improvement. That team isn't going to be relegated. Sloppy today in front of goal and poor decision making but this Everton is unrelated to the rubbish of the last few years.

Three FACTS we learnt today
1) Gomes is our most technically gifted midfielder.
2) Patterson is a poor defender.
3) Onana should be shown the door in January.
1. Not after Dele is back
2. Patterson still need a year or two to grow in strengths.
3. We need him

Thought the disallowed goal was very harsh.

We defensively shot ourselves in the foot and we all feared a pasting at that point but the way we responded was admirable.

We should have got something from that game so I am proud at the way we responded.

Danjuma.........opinions may vary but I thought he played a typical wingers game but slightly better. He found the space.....full marks for that.
He showed greed that didn't come off but he was so dangerous through clever play that about 1cm goal line technology saw us nearly grab a point at the death.

I think Danjuma should be getting more game time

Yeah that's the bottom line. A bad goal, missed chances, bad finishing. Too naive, no diving for pens like other teams do.

I'm disappointed in the result. But considering where we where and our performances from years back, it's light years difference.

I was much more disappointed Tuesday night against Fulham
I disagree. This today feels like daylight robbery

We've won 4 of the last 5. Results won't always go your way, but if we play like we did today for the rest of the season the results will go our way more often than not.
Oh no I know, but when you dominate, create multiple gilt edged chances and fluff every single one of them up, it goes down as a bad shot in the foot. Our finishing is criminal, we’re the architects of our own downfall in these games

True, but results are the absolute main thing and the reality is that we have shot ourselves massively in the foot this game whilst other teams at the bottom have won.
You can work it the other way though.

We gained 12 points when the other teams were faultering.

SOmetimes it's going to be a good weekend, sometimes its a great weekend, sometimes its a poor weekend when ti comes to results. The fact of the matter is that without a points deduction we would have started today in the top half.

If we kee playing like a team around 10th/11th, we will be fine. Burnley, Luton, Sheff Utd are all 4 points or more away from us, after us having a ridiculous 10 points taken off. Play like we are playing for the remainder of the season, we will be just fine.

Sometimes we'll play well and not get the points (see today, fulham, wolves).
Sometimes we'll not play so well and still get a result (Palace springs to mind, arguably Burnley).

PLENTY to be positive about, 12 points in the last 15.

Assuming we get beat by City. 12 points out of 18 is still nowhere near relegation form.

You can scroll my posting history, I am one of hte more pessimistic Evertonians. Even I am confident, even with defeat today.
