In my opinion you can split teams into two main overall strategies.

Either possession based or countering based.

We have the attack for a counterattack side but definitely don't have the right defense.

For possession based I don't think we have the defense or the attack. Neither.

Carlo was a great manager. He quickly came to the conclusion was counterattacking was our only way to play given the players

Carlo didn't counterattack though. Carlo concluded we suck and we should play defense and hope we get lucky. We got lucky often so it looked decent.

Pretty much which is why I'm annoyed that Frank has tried to play like spurs at spurs and copy Southampton at Southampton both games got completely outplayed (shock)

Time to change the manager again

Didnt say that did I? The fit seemed right with Lampard and his staff and then Thelwell, all seems to be going the right way except results which have still fallen off a cliff....

Lampard has won 1 in 5 Premier League games, I guess we just accept our fate because if we are getting more than comprehensively beaten at Newcastle, Southampton and Spurs we need about 6 wins from our home games against Wolves, Newcastle, Man Utd, Palace, Chelsea, Brentford and Leicester.

I can only see us winning 3 or 4 tops which will be very touch and go.
