The league doesn't lie.

We have been poor but there were 3 worse than us.

City the best team

Had we gone down we could have said that we didn't have much luck with injuries and VAR but Pickford saving the penalty against Leicester was huge in our favour.

Leicester might claim we were lucky due to that but they managed a point off Newcastle who hit the woodwork 3 times
.
Flip side of that though was that game at Leicester, the Leicester goalie (Iversen ?), had an absolute worldie of a game - that he hadn’t had before and hasn’t had since! We could easily have done a Brighton there and scored 4 or 5!

The experience I get in real life of opposition fans and those on social media are not one and the same. Usually, Everton get a fair wedge of respect where ever I go.

The moronic bubble that is social media shouldn't be taken at face value. On the other hand, the RS are hated on social media AND in real life.
100% same here
I even have a Leicester mate at work who’s been saying ‘if Leicester go down, hopefully it’s Leeds who come down with us’

People who post frequently on Twitter or social media football ‘banter’ pages aren’t to be taken seriously!

I live in Leeds, a Leeds fan at work told me last week that our result against Brighton was dodgy and needs investigating, as does the late equiliser versus wolves ..he then said he'd been emailing the FA/premier league regularly about our FFP investigation, made me laugh at the time
This is so good 🤣
I’ve read a few stupid comments about match fixing on dumb football ‘banter’ posts in the comments section and always wondered what kind of weirdos are coming up with that but there you go! A genuine one out in the wild!

What I’ve found truly bizarre is the hatred from the reds, tbh.

When we were half decent under Moyes, and finished above them a couple of times, they pitied us, no hatred, we were just a team to laugh at.

Something has changed recently though, and the amount of reds who are genuinely toxic towards us is bizarre. Genuinely believe they’re more bitter than we are these days.

I guess we fall under the Newcastle category in like 2008. Huge club, everyone wants to laugh at because it’s a huge story. Add into the mix the FFP, and how everyone else is adhering to it, and usually means people want to see us suffer.

The phrase I keep getting is “Self-Entitled”, find me a club who if they spent £500m and found them selves significantly worse off, wouldn’t be absolutely beside themselves.
It's the new ground mate, it really riles them that we're getting this magnificent stadium on the waterfront,
"How you gonna pay for it" "you'll have no money for players"
Gnashing of teeth every where

This conspiracy stuff is insane.

There were multiple opportunities for us to be given an easy penalty on Sunday. Instead, it required a worldie of a goal that no amount of magnetic field ball tampering could make happen.

We then had to endure 10 sodding minutes of injury time in which Bournemouth could've found an equaliser.

Whilst the Bournemouth crowd were singing about us going down the ones I was speaking to after the game said rather us stay up than the other two!
