Best quality of clothing I’ve had in recent years is M.A. Strum. The quality of their products is second to none. Got two Fred Perry jumpers from few years back, went to watch a band in the star and garter, got covered in beer and all the stitching starting coming away. Managed to get it fixed, put them in the wash and just ruined the two of them. Was gutted.

M.A.Strum is owned by Stone Island/CP Company mate and Boneville too I think.

Edit: Boneville was bought out in 2012

Never knew that. Guessing that’s why it is quality. Got a couple of things from stone island but noticed recent stuff isn’t the quality it was from when I started buying it 17 years ago.

Ahh I disagree mate, I've been collecting the stuff for years and never had any issues - apart from 1 jacket which came apart and the shop refused to take it back, but it was a weird jacket that was glued together not sewn so I'm not even sure if it was my fault or not!

Not really into trainers any more but came across an old pair of mine in my Ma’s Loft last week in ace condition. They were Adidas Brown Tuscany Goodyear’s with turquoise felt stripes size 9....looked pretty retro to me. Was trying to work out when they came out...reckon it was late 80’s early 90’s?

Have you got a pic mate ? I had a lovely pair of Adidas I bought in about 93-94 and I can’t recall what they were called.... sound similar to what you’ve described

Scrap that.... I’ve just googled them and it isn’t the ones I had

I’ve had a couple of issues especially with jumpers. Not really bought any stone island for a while but buy a lot of M.A. and prefer the quality on them and some of stuff looks better too.

I’ll post one tomorrow see if anyone recognises them

Agree about the looks - some of the jackets are lovely, I'm actually going to Rome in a couple of weeks as they have a Stone Island outlet (not purely for that reason!), I'll see if they sell any of it in there.
