Is there anything stopping us from having a trades section? Currently I'm after a plasterer and having a mare getting one to actually turn up. Could we have a section looking for tradesmen or trade guys looking for work/advertising themselves?

The old 'away with work' excuse eh? I suspect a local tradesman is going to work on her as we speak.

They're welcome. I can't keep up with her insatiable desires due to the huge amount of beer.

I'm looking for several jobs to be done currently tbh. Plasterer is one. Roofer another and a bricky for an extension too!

I also do think a classifieds section could work. Like Gumtree, but, er... Not Gumtree. At the end of the day it's up to an individual if they pay a certain price for something or not! Could be a good way to pass on memorabilia etc?

Problem with trades is they think their specialist skills and outgoings such as tools, vans, insurances etc should be factored into their price.

It's why I just bodge everything myself then pay twice as much for them to fix it

Mate of mine is a self employed electrician
Between registration , insurance transport costs , holiday pay and sick pay allowances plus other bits and pieces he reckons it's costing him 240 Euro a week to get out of bed on a Monday morning.
Not all rosy in the garden for the self employed
