all in good time. i am hoping they take the opportunity to mend their ways. i believe in giving people a chance.
however i do not want to fall foul of the off topic rule so i am bidding you a pleasant evening good friend.

What have you become. Where's the bravado gone?

Thought Lunny played some quality balls and drove forward when he got into it , garbutt is quality
Lunny?

I can remember him putting too much behind 3 of them. Maybe I'm wrong and it's because neither Hope or Long weren't attacking the ball particularly well
Every cross was perfectly teed up for a far post header -- somehow we never had anyone on the far post though.

A shame not to win it but it's only our first friendly. I thought Garbutt, Pienaar, Gisbon and Ossie were our best players, McGeady and Connor Mac were solid too.

I really enjoyed seeing the kids get a chance to show them selves Garbutt was probably man of the match and Martinez is going to have a headache deciding what to do with him. McAleny is very pacey and tricky player, think he'll mainly play as a winger or a second striker when he's subbed on late, looking forward to seeing more from him. Browning played at RB and Duffy at CB both didn't do anything wrong but were hardly challenged, defensively Browning looks like a rock needs to work on going forward although I still think he's a CB not a RB. Duffy looked much better with the ball at his feet which was very promising. Lundstram is excellent at using the ball and really lifted at the end of the first half, he did go missing at one stage, needs to improve the defensive side of his game to. Long, Hope and Kennedy probably struggled a little bit more I felt, you can see the talent is there for Long and he is younger than the rest of them. Needs to just keep working hard and continuing to develop, still a while off. Hope did work hard but did struggle a bit I felt, needs to do work on his touch and with the ball at his feet. Kennedy is a real quick and good with the ball at his feet but did struggle to get into the game.

As for senior boys a lot of them pretty much did their usual thing but you could tell they were all playing at about 70%. Biggest positive was seeing Gibbo back, got a lot of the ball and used it really well. Hibbert was another one who struggled with injuries last year but played just like we all know does, hadn't dropped off was just your classic Hibbo. Even Pienaar who were worried of dropping off after some injuries and his age was his typical self and did well. Was really impressed with Distin leadership was almost 15 years older than the next oldest player in the back four but he lead them really well and was constantly talking to them, helping them out and still showing them the standard they have to meet, made me even think of how good a coach he would make when he does finally hang up the boots. Poor Stonesy had a shocker, was the sole reason we conceded the first with a bad back pass and I he should of been marking the Tranmere lad who scored, i think even we forget how young he still is, if there was a time to stuff up and have a bad one it would be now though and as Martinez says you've got to make mistakes to learn. I think McGeady will play a much bigger role this season, love the way he works those wing. Joel was fine in goals, made one good save and couldn't have done much else about the goals.

Agreed - except I thought McGeady was woeful!
