I don't think Spurs letting a player go is any indication of his quality myself. I think it's more an indication of Levy's incredible urge to sign thousands of new players every transfer window out of what I can only assume is a confusion between real life and Football Manager.

the amount of money we have spent isn't really the issue, its that fact that Martinez said early on we need to address these specific issues, a #10 being the most important, and we have done nothing to address it.

People seem to think because a player can do a stepover or whatever then they can play as a number 10. It's a specialist role and in many ways is the complete opposite of a winger.
