I want Jon Walters please, Big lad, powerful and blue !!
2 million ?? snap Stokes arm off, Bobby lad. 2 year deal...he could be OUR Lambert. (different position but same sentiment)

Cheers mate. I reached the point beyond 'disappointment' a long time ago. Hate the fact that our Board is not capable of competing commercially or investing sufficiently in new players. Not just this window but many windows prior to this too. Only signing Lukaku got me excited. Cleverly and Deulefeu are interesting signings but nothing has leapt out to suggest to me that we'll finish + / - 3 places from last year's 11th spot. How about you?

I think Deulofeu is a superb signing mate. He, at this best, I think has the potential to be one of the best players in the league. I may be biased there or even naive, but I think that for 4million quid - in comparison to Brady to Norwich for 7million - is an absolute steal.

Cleverley i'd agree with you, hardly a signing to get the juices flowing.

In terms of signings, we need a playmaker. Failure to get him in should result in criticism at Martinez. If he didnt have the money to get someone in, then surely he wouldn't have stated all summer that he would get one?

Without a playmaker then I think - judging on us looking a little tightwer (2 clean sheets already) - i'd expect us somewhere between 8-10th so again i'd agree with you.

I've said this before mate on the other thread, transparency or lack of is a major concern however I don't think that immediately points to financial incompetence.

Lamela is pap, sheer pap. My Lad is a Spurs ite and he has his face in his hands when he sees his name on the team sheet. I would dodge this all day long.
One Rabona does not a player make.

I like both signings. I am a bit worried on the buy back clause though. If he does well bar a take him back for a pre set fee and sell him on for more....it is almost like a long development loan

If I understand it correctly
