we dont even need naismith in the team right now as it is.

so we could have just saved the money and wages until january, it's insane business not to accept that.

We were never signing Yarmalenko without selling Stones. You know it deep down.
I don't think we were signing him even if we had of sold Stones. I think it was just to cover up losing out to Stoke for Shaqiri.

The chances of us signing Yarmolenko were always going to be small. There's no way Martinez would pin his most important transfer on Yarmolenko without giving him time to move on to other targets.

Personally I think Payet was the player we were interested in and when he choose West Ham and Barkley's form improved we dropped the idea.
 

It wasn't an hour before, apparently we got it this afternoon.

And you'd hope we'd have identified targets in any given position just for that eventuality.

And then you put an offer for 'x' player and the club isn't interested because they don't have a replacement because it's too late in the window. It's the domino effect, nowhere near as easy as you think with the time that's left.
