When Coleman interest came about , it was shot down very fast, seems we are trying to shoot down Stones interest, but McCarthy stories still persisting. So Sergi Roberto comes in as his replacement, and the Rest of the cash we get for McCarthy (along with 8m we seemed to have for a CB) put towards a Left sided playmaker and CB, and this would support Martinez saying there will be late deals, as the latter two would only happen after the Sergi Roberto purchase, hence later in window.

Only a theory, but given whats in the press it may well be possible

You're ignoring the fact that RM has clearly stated in about four different interviews that McCarthy is going nowhere and is integral to Everton's plans...

I have a feeling Hughes and Bilic are typing in Everton on Google, looking at who we've been linked with, and then calling to enquire about our targets. Certainly makes their jobs much easier.

Im not ignoring it. He keeps denying yet rumours persist, and of course he would deny rumours and say he is intergral to ensure he gets maximum price!
 

Heard riquelme is coming out of retirement to sign for us finally, mate at the club has told me. Might try for moutinho failing that banega
