Would be decent. Can't see him giving up European and first team football to come here

I think he would likely get first team football and push Lukaku to be better. Always liked him and has a knack for finding the back of the net. If Everton want to shake the "little club" mentality go out and sign a couple quality players who are at a reasonable price. Stop trying to find rough gems and go buy some polished ones.

Having watched Sergi Roberto in the International Champions Cup today, I don't think his best position is behind the striker.

He doesn't really look like a defensive midfielder either. He is more like a deep lying playmaker who starts attacks really.

With a really good range of passing, he also looks to make forward runs a bit.

The way Barca set up in the midfield was:

Busquets Roberto
Rakitic
I just thought I would scout him a bit for the one game so definitely don't take anything I say as gospel.

Good to read something from someone who has actually seen him play to be honest.

Isn't that what Martinez said he's after though? I'm sure in that fans interview he said he didn't want someone to play high up the pitch like Noilto, but instead someone who can pick up the ball from positions like Barry and McCarthy and be creative I.e. what Gibson would do if ever fit.

I may have imagined all this, but I'm pretty sure that's what Martinez said. Happy to be proven wrong though, been up since half 5!

he play the role like as iniesta. If we have him, we can play 433. He pair with Mccarthy and Besic/Barry in Midfield.

Oh and I forgot, he hammered in a decent finish from the centre of the 18yard box, which ended up being the decisive goal.

I don't think you would see Barry in the box or McCarthy really. Just my opinion.
