If we are looking to bring a 19 year old kid in on loan as a back up striker who hardly gets a kick at Barcelona, well that's just ridiculous, might as well play one of our own kids.
said this about del 2 years ago lol

hindsight eh? the lad i suggested playing rather than loaning him has just gone to cardiff and we have signed del in on contract.

So yeah, hindsight says you dont want one of our kids in this case.

Adama Traore looks ace to be fair.

'Roberto Martinez now wants more La Masia products. A couple of days ago we covered Catalan reports of Everton trying to sign Sergi Roberto. Today Mundo Deportivo say the Merseyside club are one of an number of those interested in taking Adama Traore, having already offered to take the player on loan.'

Barca youngsters must find us a bit more appealing compared to other clubs though, when they look at the Deulofeu story/Catalan manager.

Lukaku's back up has to be an out an out striker who can come in and score goals, I certainly don't see Traore as that.
I disagree....Lukaku is a beast and you are not going to get anyone near his quality for cheap....A good winger/AM who can step in as a decent striker when needed would be best....For 10M -20M you get average strikers these days i.e Ballotelli...but you can pickup pretty good AMs for that price range...

I still think our best backup striker is Barkley

I didn't say someone of his quality but we need a striker who is capable of stepping in and scoring goals.

Relying on as you say Barkley if Lukaku got injured is just absurd, you're talking about playing him out of position and then expecting a player who has 8 goals in 76 apps to keep us going.

That's just asking for trouble.

Iv noticed since southampton now dont have any players the top clubs are after the rumour mill has turned to our players.
A month ago when sneiderlin & clyne were still at saints it was all over that they were leaving.
We got abit of a letting off from the media last year as southampton were selling all there good young players but now they have none left they have crawled to another club that they need to put back in there box, how dare we have players other teams want

How dare we not genuflect in rapt abasement at the privilege of selling our players to much more worthy clubs. Don't it make you wanna puke?
