We have bought Deulofeu and Cleverly. Both will create more chances than Naismith and McGeady. We are also almost certainly going to get Lennon again. It would be nice to get a play maker but a CB and probably a striker are more important.

I'm hopeful that our midfield will be much more creative next year with Cleverley and Del and also Besic and Barkley a year older. Ross in particular I think can fill that gap.

Ross has created about 2 chances in 2 years, unless sherwood worked utter miracles on clev whenever i saw him in the past hes not creative, besic is a DM. We defo need more creativity

Cleverly is the big unknown but his issues are more mental than technical. When he played well Martinez played him in a more attacking role and so did Sherwood.

Are you forgetting the 90 minutes of slow passing in front on defences at home last season with no one to play the killer ball? Good to see you're fine with that for another year.

This is painfully obvious but whilst signings are one thing -- I'd kill for a playmaker -- tactics are another. Bobby's shown nothing to suggest he's going to play to Rom's strengths.

Think in order of priority we need a CB, centre attacking mid (can be any squad number, I don't care), a striker for back up and a winger. They're all viral though. A GK and cover for right back would be nice but we're not made of money.

By some awful punnery, I'm picturing thousands of disgruntled Evertonians auditioning for the team's 'winger' vacancy... and then picturing some kind of middle-aged bloater, who might typically peruse this forum, haplessly attempting to overlap with Coleman.

On topic: We apparently went in for Marcell Jansen, and he promptly retired at the age of 29, aha.

I honestly think that had more to do with playing McCarthy and Barry. With Barkley playing deeper and Cleverly, Deulofeu and Mirallas in front I think we have more than enough firepower to hurt teams.
