Heard we were in for a Korean playmaker called Long Bal.
West Ham and Stoke also interested.
I'm not getting excited until someone finds a youtube montage

Shut up
Graham Jones said in his last interview that Rom is world class with the ball in front of him and they're gonna try and feed him more.
Fingers crossed then!
In the wise words of ZlatGod himself: "You bought a Ferrari, but you drive it like a Fiat".
I feel bad now. Kiss me you fool. Now I'm just slightly sad again.
Step one is admitting you have a problem... can we please move on to the other steps now. This is painfully obvious but whilst signings are one thing -- I'd kill for a playmaker -- tactics are another. Bobby's shown nothing to suggest he's going to play to Rom's strengths.
Has he done step one?Step one is admitting you have a problem... can we please move on to the other steps now.
afew quotes which have been mentioned on here before about needing a playmaker to unlock defenses, missing Pienaar and Osman, praising the skills not easily found in UK players would suggest Step One has been arrived at. I am not so fond of the twelve steps as they are a tad too religious for me but around step four you get to take an inventory and then right in the middle you determine to fix the issues, but Step 10 maybe a problem in this scenario as Bobby Brown Shoes has not shown a proclivity to admit when he is wrong....Has he done step one?
You would think so, wouldn't you? There should be plenty of money available. We have yet another extra 30 million POUNDS to spend this summer from the current TV deal. There is then another extra 30 million pound to spend next summer, and then the increase in money goes well beyond 30 million pound a year when the new TV deal starts in 2017. Everton could easily obtain 30 million POUND and then spend it this summer, whether they want to or choose to is another matter.
You convert these figures into Euros and what have you got, an extra 80 million Euros that needs to be spent between now and the end of next summer, and then we will have probably double that once the new deal kicks in. The idea that money is in short supply at Everton is laughable. We have loads of extra money coming our way which needs to be spent.
I honestly think that had more to do with playing McCarthy and Barry. With Barkley playing deeper and Cleverly, Deulofeu and Mirallas in front I think we have more than enough firepower to hurt teams.
Depends on what source you deem credible mate.Any 'actual' transfer news today?
I think those kinds of players are very difficult to buy. Even Chelsea struggle with teams that park the bus and if it wasn't for Hazard they would struggle even more. Plus Rom doesn't really suit that style as much. Someone like Giroud is better.I don't think we've ever lacked firepower, I think we lack creativity and guile that a new number 10 would give us.
