We were very lucky with the weather. Would have liked a melon mam tho.It was probably the fact it rained for most of the week plus there was only 1 small beach we found …. Highlight was the Melon man pushing his wooden cart around the beach and shouting whilst selling fresh melon

I would think that pedestrians are worse for not following traffic signals. And sometimws they walk on the roads too.

No, but if they are proved to cause a road accident -yes - I have cameras front &. Back on both of my cars !
Most times a pedestrian gets knocked down, it is their fault. So how do you think a road tax and licensing would work? Do we have to wear them on our shirts, like a marathon runner?

Is Alcudia nice?
Looking at there for next October. Looking on Google maps it looks like a lot of decent cycle lanes from Can Picafort to Alcudia and then on to Pollensa.
We were on the stretch between Alcudia and Can Picafort. Playa De Muro I think it is. Pretty touristy with a lot of hotels, but not nob head stag do heaven. Tons of bike hire places. Probably not one for Culture vultures, but we just needed a good hotel unwind type holiday.
Port D'Alcudia Is a mixed back. The Marina is nice as is the horseshoe shaped bay/beach. Alcudia old town is lovely. Just up the hill from Port D'Alcudia. It's 13th Century I believe. Nice narrow shady streets to Potter around, loads of shops etc.
As for cycling, yes, there's a great mix of cycle lanes and a clear understanding that cyclists use the hard shoulder on the stretches between towns around the coast. Drivers were very respectful on the occasions when you had to use the road.

Been staying in London since Monday, with a little outing to Avebury yesterday. What a gem of a town that was, so so beautiful. Today we catch a train to Liverpool, which will be the first time for both me and my girlfriend. She's a massive Beatles fan too so this is a dream location for both of us. Absolutely buzzing to finally make the trek out here. Also got our tickets secured for the Palace game, which will be my first and only time at Goodison. UTFT!!

Just back from seeing friends in Munich. Helped a lot having local
Knowledge and had a surprisingly great time. Octoberfest prep well under way and plenty of great beer gardens to enjoy although weather not great. Had a day trip to Salzburg (ever since my better half has been insisting we watch the sound of bloody music) where we did have some great weather - shed load of yanks there though. Edgy moment walking back into Munich old town from English Garten, huge police presence and soon became clear why with Bayern playing Zagreb and all the bars full
Of dodgy looking Zagreb ultras ….. still a great little city break.

Just back from five nights in Menorca, stayed in Cala den Porter. First time away with the baby, had a lovely time but not loads there if you aren't into the beach or pool.
Off to the Isle of Man tomorrow, first trip, couple of days absolutely smashing the beers. Was meant to go for the TT earlier this year but couldn't make it and frankly think I'd prefer it less busy.
