Trivia Question

I haven't read any other answers so here is my effort

5 won leagues with Rangers in Scotland........Alec Scott, Andy Gray, Trevor Steven, Gary Stevens, Graeme Sharp
,
2 won leagues with Arsenal in England.......Kevin Richardson,

1 won leagues with Marseille in France.......Trevor Steven

1 won leagues with Hearts in Scotland.....Alex Young

1 won leagues with Glentoran in Northern Ireland......Tommy Jackson

1 won leagues with Bangor City in Wales......Roy Vernon

That second Arsenal one has me stumped.

7 out of 10. Excellent try.

Vernon and Sharp are wrong, though.

didn't Martin Keown win the league with the Arsenal

Yes, but he joined us after the '87 league success.

And Bally joined Arsenal after they had won the Double.

I am thinking this might be sommat of a trick question.

This question is purely post war, which rules Joe Mercer out.

I don't believe any of our '63 team had played previously for Arsenal and none were with them in '71.

Ditto our class of '70.

And I am pretty certain no one from our '80s title winners went to Highbury, save for Kevin Richardson.

The Arsenal one is s good one if genuine.

I am still working on it, BTW and don't want to Google or look at the answers on the first page just yet :)

My dad heard this one in a pub quiz thing.

There are ten footballers to have played for us since the war who have both won the league with Everton and also won a top level league with another club.

Aha.....a clever question indeed.

It doesn't say "won" the title with both EFC and the Gunners."since the war".

It is played for both clubs since 1945.

That could well be then Joe Mercer.
