No idea but post-war I do know Alex Young got 2 in 2 games, I can only assume it must have been someone who played 1 game and got 2 goals (or at any rate not many games) - maybe Eamonn O'Keefe, Eglington (for one of the Irelands)? or a one-off cap for Wales like Aubrey Powell. Stumped!

The three are one of cattericks forwards who got 5 goals in 3 games for england, a victorian who got 4 in 3 for england and a pre world war 1 striker who got 3 goals in 1 game for england and was never capped again.

Pickering - that's pretty awful. 3 games 5 goals and not good enough? Or was it is injuries?
