Following on from an earlier question, excluding the British Isles nations, players from how many different countries have made it onto the pitch or subs bench for Everton at first team level.
And once we have the number of countries, we can move onto the number of different players themselves from outside the British Isles.
I did have a go one rainy lunchtime to scribble down a list on both, so while I think it is correct, I can't promise it is absolutely definitive.

South Africa: Pienaar and Murray. Ivory Coast: Bakayoko and Kone. Ghana: Atsu and Nyarko. Nigeria: Yobo, Akpan, Yakubu, Anichebe, Amokachi. And did Said ever make the bench, if he did than Egypt for him. And again if nisala ever made the bench, dr congo for him.
Radzinski was born in poland too. And Preki in serbia.

Missing an Ivory Coast player. Hope Akpan was born in Liverpool, so excluded as I am looking for players born outside of the British Isles to have played for Everton.

David 'dj' Murray, south african international we signed in the 1930s after their team toured liverpool. First foreign player in our history.

Fair question, I hadn't but under the terms of the phrasing I would have to. I suppose what I really mean (eventually, haha) is players born outside of the British Isles and having no association with a British Isles nation.
Got vidmar confused with someone else. Who was the australian we signed from vienna in 2004-05 and he got on the bench but never played?
