They’ve been bothering me with cycles of the same terrifying letters for a couple of years now. Nothing happens.

They’ve come @ yo there. That’s a bad move on their behalf. Show them your spite.

Yes - plus they only have a computer to speak too my late mother in law was 14 months in hospital we were told 3 months in she had to go into a care home - so we tried to cancel her TV licence, we stopped the direct debit & received 6 warning letters as it is very hard to talk to an automated service - she never got to her care home she died in hospital - we had to write to them earlier on in the process to tell them to get lost politely & they just about did - even after her death my wife got a letter by then we had a solicitor dealing with probate - the premium bonds are much the same too - two faceless organisations - sorry to say you should be alright if you are prepared to pay ..... otherwise you are a dealing with the devil ....

I do .... well the wife does. We hardly watch any luve broadcast TV because little of ut suits our interests any more, but I still support the idea of ad-free telly.

Some years back, as a single bloke, I unplugged the tv ariel and stopped paying. I also wrote, declaring I wasn't using the tv for live stuff. I used dvds instead. Eventually a bloke came around to check. I let him in, he saw the aerial was not connected and was satisfied I wasn't using it. That was that.

Then I got married and things got expensive again for no apparent reason.

You do know those detector vans way back had no equipment in them - they did it just to spook people the radr would catch them out lol

The one time the fella knocked I told him I was working there and the people weren't home and they didn't have a telly.
Never heard anything since and that was 8 or 9 years ago.
Never paid the nonce farm a penny.

The TV tax is outrageous. To pay the inflated wages of absolute wasters.
It'll be a cold day in hell before I pay it again*

*- live overseas for the time being, but on my return I'll be adopting the same position. Well until they knock on my door and I cack myself then fold like a cheap suit

Well if this helps when I moved to Jockland I had to do it quick and maxed everything out but couldn’t sell my house back home quick enough so rented it out for a while. I kept paying my license for the the old house but not for the new house.

I thought well I’m only paying once so who cares what the address is. Let them come and get me. Bunch of fascists anyway. So they started sending me the threatening letters, I sat here all smug thinking can’t wait til they get me in court and I’ll say well I’ve been paying all along so up yours, change the address and leave me alone.

I thought I’d just sit tight and let them send their letters. Eventually they stopped, sold the old house ages ago. Lost loads of money coz of Kwarteng and Truss and even more rich fascists so I couldn’t care less. So I would say eventually they give up. Aholes.

The big question is, is it worth paying for Kin? Coz that’s the only decent thing they’ve put out in the last 30 years.

Yes it was an obvious bluff. Illustrates the contempt our establishment holds the public in and how dim they think we are. Probably justified!
